My name is Susan Storey, a Wyoming native raised in Sheridan and Cody. My husband Mike and I have two lovely daughters and two amazing grandsons, they are my biggest cheerleaders!I have always been interested in art and photography is something I really love. Some of my work has been chosen for calendars, various contests and even a best in show at the county fair. I often use my photos as references for my paintings. There is an endless amount of inspiration in Mother Nature and that is where I find some of my best subjects.In addition to wild birds and nature scenes, I have painted many pet portraits over the years. When I am able to capture their eyes is when I know I have done something special. Acrylics are my first choice for a medium, and I play around with colored pencil as well. I have no formal training; just a passion for creating and sharing my art. I’m always learning and honing my craft.I hope that people enjoy my work and it makes them smile.
