For Mary Rose O’Connell, painting is an experience of joy and focus. Whether working in the studio or outdoors, she is drawn to the challenge of translating what she sees into a visual language. Each piece reflects her commitment to combining technical skill with thoughtful decision-making, inviting the viewer to share in the moment she has captured. She is a national award-winning artist and a juried member of the Copley Society of Art, the North Shore Arts Association, and the Rockport Art Association and Museum. Her work has been exhibited with the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and other respected groups. O’Connell maintains a studio at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA, and teaches workshops throughout the United States and Europe. She also serves as President of the Board of Trustees at the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester.
