Anton Pavlenko is a self-taught oil painter whose work explores themes of identity, belonging, and personal transformation. Born in Ukraine, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1990. That journey continues to shape his perspective as an artist, fueling a practice rooted in both observation and introspection. His paintings often reflect a search for home. What began as a focus on landscape painting from direct observation has grown into a more contemplative body of work, one that blends the external world with inner experience. Through bold color, expressive form, and layered texture, Pavlenko creates images that speak to memory, emotion, and the evolving relationship between the self and the natural world.Since beginning his professional career in 2009, his work has been widely exhibited and collected. It has appeared in national publications, artist features, and even a televised profile. His paintings have received numerous top awards and have been shown in galleries and museums across the United States.
