Cindy Wilbur has been making art for as long as she can remember. Her first studio was a childhood playhouse, repurposed to hold brushes, paint, and early creative ambition. While she began as a studio painter, everything shifted after she moved to the Monterey Coast. Surrounded by the region’s dramatic light and varied terrain, she fell in love with painting outdoors.Over the past fifteen years, Cindy has developed a deep connection to the landscape, especially the California shoreline. Some of her favorite moments come with her feet in the sand and the sound of waves in the background, brush in hand and light constantly changing. Her goal is not to render a scene exactly as it appears, but to capture its essence. Each painting is an invitation to share in the experience.
