Anne Blair Brown is an accomplished impressionist painter based in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and raised in Nashville, Brown finds inspiration in the intimate scenes of her local surroundings, as well as from her travels across the United States and abroad. Her work reflects a harmonious blend of observation and imagination, rooted in reality but transformed through a creative, intuitive painting process.As Brown describes, “My artwork starts in reality and evolves through my imagination. As an impressionist, I believe in a painting process that enables me to tap into my creativity rather than trying to copy and perfect. My goal is to invite the viewer to connect to the painting, personalizing the experience and using their own imagination to complete the story.”Brown holds Master Member status with the American Impressionist Society and is a Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America. She is also an Associate Member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society and a past president of the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast.
