Margaret Roleke is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Connecticut whose work interrogates consumerism, social justice, and the contradictions of American culture. Using everyday materials—from plastic toys and candy wrappers to bullets and packaging—she constructs visually striking installations, sculptures, and wall works that blend humor, repetition, and confrontation. Her art raises challenging questions about gun violence, gender roles, and environmental waste, inviting viewers to engage critically with the world around them. Roleke holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, Real Art Ways, and the Mattatuck Museum. Her work is part of numerous private and public collections, and she has been recognized with multiple residencies and awards. Beyond her studio practice, Roleke is an active curator and arts advocate, fostering community dialogue through art. Collectors are drawn to Roleke’s work for its incisive commentary, inventive use of material, and visual impact. Each piece challenges, engages, and resonates, making it both a striking addition to a collection and a thoughtful statement about contemporary life.
