Daisy Gesualdi is a Connecticut-based artist whose work explores the interconnectedness of individuality, community, and environment. Each painting begins with an observation — a moment in which she considers how objects bear traces of human interaction. From there, she investigates how perception, memory, and experience overlap, seeking to “dig below the surface” and invite the viewer to dive deeper. Gesualdi holds a Studio Art degree from Western Connecticut State University (with a minor in Marketing) and furthered her training through foundation studies at Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and figurative painting and anatomy at the Art Students League of New York. Alongside her personal studio practice, she has gained experience in galleries and museums through work in curation, collections management, and program development. She currently collaborates with the New Britain Museum of American Art on socially engaged exhibition programs, and participates in the local arts scene through open studio events and volunteer work with the WCSU art gallery. While oil on canvas is her primary medium, Gesualdi often experiments across disciplines — employing ink, paper, and photography — to enrich her visual investigations and expand dialogue between media.
