Paula Walters-Parker is a Jamaican visual artist and educator based in Brooklyn whose work is rooted in the environment that shaped her. Drawing inspiration from the natural materials she encountered during her childhood in Jamaica, her practice transforms these elements into works that reflect both place and memory. A Parsons School of Design graduate, Walters-Parker blends her artistic practice with teaching, showing high school students how art can illuminate our relationships with the world around us. Her work celebrates curiosity, observation, and the ability of art to connect personal experience with broader ecological and cultural narratives. Collectors are drawn to Walters-Parker’s pieces for their thoughtful engagement with material, place, and story—art that resonates with both beauty and meaning.
