Barbara Grossman studied at Cooper Union, New York (BFA), the Yale School of Music and Art and Akademie der Kunst, Munich, Germany, where she was a Fulbright scholar. She is a recipient of many other professional awards such as an Ingram Merrill Award and two Connecticut Commission on the Arts awards. She has exhibited in 37 solo exhibitions and over100 group shows. Her art career also included teaching at many prestigious institutions, including; Yale School of Art, University of Pennsylvania, the New York Studio School, Boston University, Dartmouth College and the National Academy of Fine Arts. Her paintings hang in numerous public and private collections.
