Pat Strum, a native of New York, studied oil painting under the late George Peter, a renowned landscape artist. Pat’s first professional painting experience was during her ten-year stint as Associate Food Editor of Seventeen Magazine, where she often “painted” cookies and cakes to make them attractive for photography. As an avid gardener, Pat often uses her camera to capture the beauty that surrounds her at its peak of perfection and uses the photo studies for guidance in her studio. Pat has participated in six solo shows and over 20 group shows, winning many awards for her work. Her paintings hang in private and corporate collections in New York City, Westchester County, NY, Chicago, Boston, Connecticut, California and Florida.
