Maggz Elizabeth (b. 1989, London, Ontario) is a Toronto-based, self-taught photographer whose practice explores the spatial and emotional dynamics of live performance. Rooted in an early fascination with light—first observed through its interaction with urban architecture—her work has developed into a study of music, memory, and visual atmosphere. In 2015, she photographed her first concert, Post Malone, marking the beginning of a body of work that examines the concert environment as a site of shared intensity and fleeting connection.Elizabeth’s photographs occupy a space between documentation and interpretation. Composed intuitively, her images reflect the emotional tenor of the artist and the surrounding audience, capturing moments that hover between visibility and abstraction. Through recurring use of silhouette, stage smoke, and saturated lighting, her work evokes the impermanence of performance and the residual feeling it leaves behind. She has photographed a wide range of artists including Tyler, the Creator, Pusha T, Radiohead, Travis Scott, Mac Miller, and Lauryn Hill (to name a few).
