Erin McGee Ferrell: Bridging Classical Oil Painting and Technology Erin McGee Ferrell is an artist celebrated globally for her unique ability to merge the classical oil painting with modern technology. McGee Ferrell embeds audio and video chips under her oil paint, engaging participants while creating a multi-generational item of lasting beauty. A solo exhibition in Bahrain during the Annual Spring of Culture showcased a series of interactive paintings inspired by Formula 1 Grand Prix. Also in 2024, the artist represented the US State Department in Saudi Arabia, where she delivered talks on the integration of AI and art. McGee Ferrell holds degrees from Mount Holyoke College and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has furthered her studies at esteemed institutions such as the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Maine College of Art, the Art Students League of NYC, and the University of Lagos in Nigeria. McGee Ferrell’s most recent series, The Girl and the Horse, connects her home state of Kentucky with her love of the Middle East through the Thoroughbred Horse.
