Anthony Kirk is a master printer and artist born in Scotland, trained in England, and based in North Salem, New York since 1974. In 1988 Kenneth Tyler invited him to head the etching department at Tyler Graphics Ltd., where he worked directly with Helen Frankenthaler, Frank Stella, Joan Mitchell, John Walker, and Donald Sultan. His own prints draw on that lifetime of technical mastery — etchings and aquatints of spare, luminous beauty that speak as quietly and as confidently as the best work he has helped bring into the world.
