Hello! I'm Chloe, a painter and arts writer based in Charleston, SC. My work explores the ever-evolving process of becoming—how we construct, obscure, and rediscover ourselves over time. Through vivid color, layered imagery, and an intuitive blend of figuration and abstraction, I create emotionally charged paintings that hold space for complexity: memory and myth, performance and vulnerability, softness and strength. Much of my practice centers on the dialogue between past, future and present selves—how art becomes a site of personal reflection, transformation, and spiritual inquiry. Themes of girlhood, identity, disorientation, and emotional survival show up often in my work, as I navigate what it means to be both the subject and storyteller of my own history.
In addition to painting, I write about art and artists— check out my work for the Charleston City Paper and Burnaway- Contemporary Art of the South.
