PD Jensen creates art from the philosophical to the phoolish. PD Jensen is a fine artist, muralist, and art teacher in the greater Seattle area. His art explores a wide range of subject matter, from plein air to portraits, from fantasy to figurative, and from mountains to master studies. PD has created both public and residential murals in the cities of Redmond, Kirkland, Lakewood, and Woodway, and held numerous exhibitions in many of those same places. He has taught art at Green River College and Bellevue College, focusing on drawing, watercolor, advanced oil and portraits in oil, and more. A three-time winner in the American Art Awards, PD’s work has been featured in juried art shows at the Edmonds Art Festival, Kenmore Art Show, artEAST Issaquah, University House-Wallingford, and many other events and places. When not painting, PD enjoys hiking, writing haiku, playing classical piano, and is addicted to puns. “Some time ago, I took up the practice of drawing and smearing globs of colored paint on a flat surface to create an illusion of a world I’m trying to see. I learned rather late in life the foolishness of trying to save the world, as there are as many worlds as there are people. So, I endeavor to create my own better world by the work I do and through my interactions with other people.” -- PD Jensen Barlow Gallery is proud to feature the work of PD Jensen.
