Mike is a very determined individual in both his personal life and his art practice. He is clear-eyed about how he wants his work to turn out and he will not give up on a piece until he gets all the details just right. He’s outgoing and loves to talk to people, but keeps to himself and concentrates when he’s working. With acrylics, Mike brings a studied realism to his artwork, and explores a broad range of subject matter. Scenes from nature and daily life spark ongoing inspiration for him; he is constantly creating. In his free time, he enjoys football, train watching, hanging out with friends, and learning new techniques from painting tutorials. Art is a form of escape and expression for Mike. He hopes people are able to see his passion and the labor of love in his work.
