Diego Larguia is an artist and educator living in New Orleans. His life-inspired luminous watercolors celebrate both the South and beyond. A self-described paintaholic, he paints with a direct approach both en plein air and in the studio. Trained as an Academic painter, his work is expressive yet formal in structure. With 30+ years of painting experience and 20+ years of teaching, Mr. Larguia has been involved in the New Orleans art scene, showing in galleries and Museums across the South. He was also featured in American Artist Magazine. His works can be found in prominent private and public collections. Notable exhibitions:Ogden Museum, Academy Gallery, NOMA, Walter Anderson Museum of Art, Alexandria Museum of Art, Contemporary Art Center (New Orleans), among other institutions. Notable teaching:Taught at NOAFA for 20+years , Ogden Museum, Beauregard Keyes House, Abbey Art Works, New Orleans School of Arts and Crafts.
