Madison (Hughes) Touran is a figurative oil painter whose work blends classical realism with surreal and mythological symbolism. Her paintings evoke dreamlike atmospheres and psychological tension, inviting viewers into symbolic, introspective worlds. With a PhD in planetary geology, Touran brings an analytical depth and a cosmic sensibility to her work, exploring themes of transformation, the underworld, and the human condition. She currently lives and works in Missouri, balancing her studio practice with a scientific career.
