"In 1994, Loretta Petraitis received a M.F.A. Diploma from the Vilnius Academy of Arts ,Kaunas, Lithuania. She has been a professional artist since 1984. While studying, she worked as pattern printing designer for the textile factories in Lithuania. After graduation in 1994 , she was invited to the Textile Factory "Kauno Audiniai ", LT to take Senior Designer position .This work gave more creative space to focus on her own style of expression . In 1996 Loretta came to the United States to live and work ,following her passion for painting, as the most fluent creative space. Rich textures, grittiness, life in motion, striking contrasts of the cities strongly motivates her ideas and remain the biggest inspiration for her compositions. Since then her work attracting attention of many affluent art collectors, business owners and art galleries, Loretta is extending exceptional gratitude to her mentors, wherever they are in the world."
