Lisa Fedon is an award-winning American sculptor with over 45 years experience.Originally inspired by Alexander Calder’s early work, Fedon began her career working inwire and mixed media teaching herself the properties of creating sculpture with line.Fedon’s intent was to simplify creating volume with as little material as possible. There isa recognition of fullness within the void of her sculptures. Welding opened up possibilitiesfor functional sculpture and site-specific commissions leading to major works at TheUniversity of Scranton, Arlington Public Library and US Healthcare. Many of the fabricated images were taken from photographssubmitted by local high school students, as well as from Fedon’s own photos of Arlington.Citizen Watch Co. / Tokyo, JapanAll Eyes On You - A commissioned wire sculpture depicting a series of hands and armsin various positions of activity all wearing wrist watches made from found objects for thecompany’s highly anticipated release of the limited edition Eco-Drive EYES wrist watch.Photos of the finished piece as well as studio shots were used in an advertisingsupplement for Ginza Magazine.Gore Creek Pedestrian Bridge / Vail, COA site-specific public art project that utilized Fedon’s trademark treatment of layeringperforated steel and plate to create panels of imagery detailing a visual metaphor of thelifestyle and spirit of Vail.
