Nancy Palmie is a mixed-media artist specializing in watercolor and gouache painting. She takes inspiration from her roots in Wisconsin, her years living in Colorado, California, and South Carolina, and her extensive travels throughout the United States. Nancy’s love of rolling green hills and hard-working farmers began in her home state of Wisconsin, where she was born and raised. It was spending the better part of her adult life in Colorado, however, that gave Nancy a deep appreciation for the awe-inspiring, spectacular beauty of mountains and lakes, of cerulean skies peppered with titanium-white clouds, the rich texture of the diverse wildlife kingdom, and the crazy weather that changes from sunny cadmium yellow to angry slate gray in the blink of an eye. Nancy retired from her career as a corporate technical writer and now spends her days painting, drawing on memories to create her palette while creating new memories on long road trips through the United States with her husband, Jeff, and Pomeranian, Montana. Nancy’s artworks display a variety of styles from realistic, to primitive, to impressionistic. All reveal the inspiration she takes from nature. Nancy creates in her home in Summerville, South Carolina and anywhere her travels take her. “I don't know where inspiration will strike next, but of one thing I'm certain: In this vast and beautiful world, I'll never run out of things to paint.” Nancy Palmie’s work is currently available on her website: nancypalmie.com.
