Meredith Stisser is a multidisciplinary artist attending to cob sculpture. She received her BFA from Emerson College in 2020. Stisser explores rawness through themes of cycles, femininity, and humor throughout her work. She maintains a distinct visual style with the use of exclusively organic material. Stisser apprenticed in cob construction for natural structure building under pioneering cobber, Deanne Bednar. The artist now isolates the finer elements of cob building to produce elegant yet robust objects which pay homage to matrilineal wisdom while utilizing the abundance offered by the land
