I am an abstract collage artist who experiments with found paper. Like Joan Didion who once said, “I don’t know what I think until I write it down”, I often don’t know what will happen until I enter the studio and begin to work. I transform ubiquitous materials—packaging and myriad other papers—into compositions that ultimately explore the overlooked beauty of the ordinary. Art making for me is a process of inner and outer discovery. I welcome the element of chance and I am endlessly inspired by the materials with which I create.
