Brian Bosworth is a sculptor and ceramicist whose work explores the space between structure and sensation-between the built world and the natural one. Drawing on influences from mid-century architecture, brutalism, and minimalism, his forms are at once austere and emotive, grounded and ethereal. Based between Joshua Tree, California and Oklahoma City, Bosworth creates under the name BKB Ceramics. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private collections across the U.S. and abroad. He previously owned and operated a successful retail/gallery space for eight years in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, California, and his work has been featured in numerous publications. Bosworth received his B.A. from CSU Bakersfield and his M.F.A. in Studio Art from Claremont Graduate University. He has been working professionally in ceramics and sculpture since 2002. Alongside his studio practice, he teaches Ceramic Sculpture and Wheel Throwing at The Studio School, and Art at Deer Creek High School in Oklahoma City. Bosworth's vessels and sculptural works often evoke a quiet tension-blending the psychological intensity of brutalist design with the soft shifts and impermanence of the natural world. He invites viewers into a liminal space, where form becomes a site of reflection, memory, and emotional resonance.
