"My work explores natural structures, cellular architecture, plant forms, and growth patterns through sculpture and small-scale objects. With a background in metalsmithing and product design, I approach making as a blend of craft, research, and experimentation. I often begin with sketches or models drawn from nature. The work evolves through iteration, using a combination of handcraft and digital tools. Modeling, casting, and hand-finishing are central to my practice, allowing for a balance between precision and unpredictability. I'm especially drawn to open, branching forms, such as cell walls or vascular networks, that create strength through lightness. The resulting airy, open structures echo both biological systems and ornamental design, suggesting a link between nature, the body, and the built world."
