Kelly Breedlove is a photo-based mixed media artist from rural Georgia, where he was raised within a distinctive Southern cowboy culture. A 1989 graduate of Georgia Tech, he draws inspiration from personal and found photographs—often beginning with images from his mother’s collection. His work explores themes of loneliness, isolation, and emotional memory, using techniques like mark making, collage, and physical deconstruction to uncover a deeper personal truth. Breedlove has exhibited in group shows throughout Atlanta, and his work is held in private collections across the South.
