Anri Okada Anri Okada (Saitama, 1989) is a Japanese artist based in Mexico City. She works primarily in painting, mural, and ceramics. A dedicated traveler, she draws inspiration from the mythologies, traditions, and everyday life of the places she visits, interpreting them in her distinctive style that blends reality with illusion and modernity with the primitive. Her research in Mexico has been supported by the Pola Art Foundation and the Yoshino Gypsum Art Foundation, both of which foster the development of young artists abroad. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Pola Museum of Art, the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, the Ichihara Art×Mix 2020+ Triennial, and Art Fair Tokyo. Since 2014, she has carried out the mural art project “Hekikakikaku” in primary schools across Asia and Latin America.
