Konstantin Chmutin (1953 – ) a Russian artist, was born and studied in Leningrad. Training initially to become an architect, he did not begin printmaking until the early 1980’s. By the end of the decade, his meticulous mezzotints were featured in exhibitions around the world. Chmutin has won numerous international awards and his prints are in many collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the New York Public Library.
