Kara Kozimor Holman is a representational figurative, still life, and landscape oil painter. She has spent the last several years taking life drawing/painting classes and began painting outside of classes in the Summer 2022 and exhibiting work in 2023. Kara was also an Artist in Residence at a restaurant / gallery in Union Market of Washington DC, called Palette 22 DC in 2024 where she painted on location and exhibited work with 30+ other emerging artists in the DMV area. Originally from Ohio and studied art studio with a focus on graphic design along with a minor in art history at The University of Akron. She also holds an MBA from American University and works as a strategy consultant for human rights organizations. This work influences many of Kara’s themes in her pieces.
