I grew up on the backroads of Northern Michigan, spending summers working the carnival circuit. We’d roll into small towns, set up for the day and spark joy into the lives of locals who came out for a bit of fun. Life on the road was colorful and unpredictable. I eventually traded carnival life to pursue a college degree and later raise four children. With that our summers found a quieter rhythm. Instead of fairgrounds, we wandered forests and beaches pocketing stones, driftwood and other tiny treasures from Mother Nature. Those little finds often turned into creative projects adorning our home. Years later, I find myself blending those worlds. Today, instead of carnival shows, my handcrafted, functional art brings joy to homes across Northern Michigan. Each piece is a reflection of where I’ve been, the roads I’ve traveled and the grounding connections I have found in nature. I hope my work inspires you to bring a little piece of Michigan’s beauty into your own space.
