This little gem by Kentaro Kato dates to 1910 and depicts Gloucester harbor as it looked then. The artist won the Halgarten Prize from the National Academy of Art in 1920, he was one of the youngest ever to achieve this honor. Kato died at 37 and lost much of his work in 1923 earthquake in Japan.
