Pavni C (b. 1990) is a mixed media artist sharing her studio between Davis, California and Mumbai, India. She is a self-taught full-time artist from last 5 years. During the global pandemic the reassuring continuity and cycle of nature became completely absorbing for her to watch. Through her art she started portraying this cyclicity - growing up, crowded together, bloom and die, and being replaced with the new. Gradually she started looking at her backyard for inspiration. Pavni’s work has evolved over the years focusing on botanicals. She loves to travel, and her series of artworks are a celebration of nature’s beauty. Each of her pieces is a unique blend of botanical markings, signature patterns and a breathtaking array of bright hues. For small works she paints on handmade papers too. Pavni’s art is an invitation to explore, discover and connect with the beautiful world around us
