Anne Moses is a distinguished British artist whose work delves into the intricate "fragments of life seen at close range." Through her compelling paintings, she explores the elusive nature of touch and feeling, the profound detail and minutiae of existence, and the depths of introspection. Moses believes in the innate human response to mimetic representation, recognising our fundamental fascination with and conditioning to respond to our own image. Painting, for her, elevates this fascination, allowing the artist complete control over each element of the re-presentation. Moses earned her B.A. Hons Degree in Fine Art from the University of Manchester, UK, and maintains her studio practice in Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK. Her artistic journey has been continuous since her university days, with her early career also including lecturing in Art & Design until 2014, where she notably managed and delivered a successful Art & Design Access to Higher Education Course. Since 2015, she has dedicated herself to her full-time professional art practice, exhibiting both nationally and internationally, with her work held in several private collections.
