Emmy Marshall is a self- taught abstract painter from Atlanta, GA. At the age of six his father asked him what he wanted to be while leaving Toys R Us and he quickly responded that he wanted to be an “artist”. ​Emmy enjoys the freedom of creating abstract. Emmy’s creative process is organic and spontaneous. Emmy states “I have infinite possibilities, there are no rules, I simply make my own”. What emerges is an integral language that is both emotional and personal. Emmy has connected his faith in God, creativity and self-discovery to deliver what he calls his ministry. With art in 28 states, community connections and two murals in Atlanta he discovered his mission. Emmy’s mission as an artist is to connect, inspire and build community while sharing the gift of art. In the City of Atlanta, Emmy has been fortunate to be a part of the annual Mayors LGBTQ group art exhibition as well as an episode on TNT’s The Game Plan with Shaquille O’ Neal and has art in the Fulton County Art on Loan Program. As an Atlanta native, Emmy believes it’s important to give back. Over the years, he has volunteered at the Fulton County Library and Juvenile Justice Center hosting hands on workshops for youth and had the opportunity to speak about his creative process at the Saint Benedict Episcopal School during their Black History Program
