Judy Walker is an abstract expressionist painter working primarily in watercolor on Yupo paper. Her practice bridges graphic design precision with the spontaneity of nature, creating layered, luminous compositions that explore rhythm, pattern, and presence. She enhances her watercolor work with metallic pigments and archival finishes to achieve a dynamic visual texture that changes with light and viewpoint. Judy is the 3rd place award winner in the 2025 Georgia watercolor society national exhibition, juried by Ryan Fox and held at the prestigious Morris Museum of Art. The work was praised for its innovative use of color and layered abstraction. She has been recognized by art historian William sheehy as a contemporary contributor to the “pattern painting lineage”, building on the legacy of artists like Agnes Martin and Mark Tobey. Judy's art is available as originals and limited editions through online gallery, www.judywalker.art, she exhibits both regionally and nationally.
