I have had a background in the visual arts for many years. I received my formal training as an artist at New Mexico Junior College and Texas Tech University, where I earned my BFA with an emphasis in painting. I have been teaching art for the past 35 years in Texas and Arizona. I started painting as a 3rd grader where I completed my first oil landscape. I knew early on I had a passion for painting. I could not get enough of oils and watercolors.
