Diane Chen Koch-Weser (aka Diane Chen or Diane KW) is a Hawaii-based ceramic artist. She is currently finishing her MFA at University of Hawaii. Prior to her art career she worked as a neurologist, epidemiologist and researcher in the USA and Switzerland. She is a graduate of USC (BS Chemistry), NYU School of Medicine (MD) and Columbia University School of Public Health (MPH Epidemiology). Diane’s work with ceramics is varied, from intricate hand-carved vessels to conceptual transformation of ceramic shards, to alteration of found objects. Her work may be seen in museum collections including the Cape Ann Museum (USA), the Honolulu Museum of Art (USA), the Florida Holocaust Museum (USA), the St. Petersberg Museum of Fine Art (USA), the New Orleans Museum of Art (USA), the Nanchong University Ceramic Museum (China), and the Groninger Museum, (Netherlands).
