Robin Lasser is a Professor of Art at San José State University, she creates photographs, video, site-specific installations, and public art addressing public health, environmental issues, and social justice. She frequently collaborates with artists, writers, students, public agencies, community organizations, and international coalitions to produce work that fosters public dialogue. Her work has been presented nationally and internationally at venues such as The Nature of Cities Festival (Berlin), TNOC Summit at Sorbonne University (Paris), the Asian Art Museum (San Francisco), the San José Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Modern Art (Bangalore), the Museum of Goa, the Exploratorium (San Francisco), the Kohler Museum of Art, the Metenkov Museum of Photography (Russia), the Recoleta Cultural Center (Argentina), and the Caixa Cultural Center (Brazil). She has also participated in major international biennials, including ZERO1: Global Art on the Edge (San José), Nuit Blanche (Toronto), and the Pingyao International Photography Festival (China).
