Daniel Schumacher is an emerging Western and wildlife artist from Linton, North Dakota, who has been creating art for as long as he can remember. His journey as an artist was sparked by his involvement in the Junior Duck Stamp Program, which ignited his passion for continuous growth and improvement in his craft. Currently based in Bismarck, North Dakota, Daniel continues to hone his craft as an artist and has achieved notable accomplishments, including being a finalist in the prestigious Federal Duck Stamp contest as well as being selected for the esteemed Russell Western Art Auction A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Daniel’s work reflects his deep connection to nature and the Western landscape. Through his art, he aims to capture the beauty and spirit of these themes. Much like a writer tells a story through his words, Daniel focuses on telling a similar story through the use of his art. Daniel specializes in the use of acrylic and oil paint, as well as graphite and wood carving. With each piece, Daniel seeks to embody the sentiment expressed by Marc Chagall: “Great art picks up where nature ends.”
