Sergio Gómez SRGER belongs to that current of contemporary artists more interested in contradiction and in raising questions than in providing answers. Through the subtle combination of recognizable elements with purely abstract ones, he emerges as a cynical dissenter of form, articulating a discourse based on failure/success/correction—almost in a Gödelian sense—rooted in incompleteness. An unusual pilgrim who embraces imperfection as a hallmark of identity, he challenges the dichotomy of finished/unfinished in the work of art and establishes impermanence as a necessary condition of existence, as well as of the pictorial act itself.
