Visual artist and poet Claire Colette (b. 1980, Reims, France) participated in artist residencies at School of Visual Arts, New York, and Southern Exposure, San Francisco prior to receiving an MFA from Mills College, Oakland, CA in 2013. Colette is represented by Harper’s and will mount her second exhibition with the gallery in 2022. Most recently, she has presented her work in solo and two-person exhibitions at Harper’s Apartment, New York; Ochi Gallery, Ketchum, ID; Ochi Projects, Los Angeles; Johansson Projects, Oakland; and Hunter Shaw Fine Art, Los Angeles. Her work is in the collection of the de Young Museum, San Francisco, and has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including 36 Paintings, Harper’s, East Hampton (2020). Colette is based in Los Angeles where she is a member of the Binder of Women consortium.
