Dee Santorini signifies the original bohemian artist—free-thinking, diversein her pursuits, and allowing art to be her voice in life. A photographer,painter, sculptor, and potter, she believes strongly that the arts improve allof our lives.“I find certain materials let me express myself in different ways”, she says.“So I do photography to capture the essence of the incredible world aroundus. I sculpt the clay of the earth, feeling it beneath my fingers, turning mydreams into hard realities. And I paint to express my awe and respect forall living things on this earth.”Dee has served as president of the Rockford Art Guild in Illinois and asMembership Director of the River Arts District in Asheville, NC.She has taught pottery, sculpture and painting classes, and believes that bytrying new things, experimenting with techniques and materials, and thensharing her insights with other artists that art grows and transforms.
