Sherri Congrove, born in Medford, Oregon, and raised in Arizona, was inspired by her artist mother to start painting at age five. She honed her skills at the Arizona Art School with European artist Joe Rogozen. Sherri began selling her paintings in Phoenix's upscale Biltmore area, validating her vision. Her deep connections with Native American tribes, especially their Pow Wows, significantly influence her work. She creates Southwestern art, abstract pieces, and sculptures, often using Raku-fired clay with a brilliant metallic patina. Sherri's rustic and abstract style has earned acclaim in major juried art shows and galleries in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Her work, shown in Phoenix Home Garden Magazine, reflects the textures and colors of the Southwest. Sherri Congrove is celebrated for her innovative spirit and unique perspective on American heritage.
