Hana RuckerBased in the Pacific Northwest, Hana Rucker is a self-taught sculptor and ceramicist whose practice bridges craft, sustainability, and quiet beauty. Working from her home studio in Milwaukie, Oregon, she handcrafts sculptural and functional pieces from metal, wood, and clay—often incorporating found, recycled, or repurposed materials. Each work reflects a deep respect for process and imperfection, where form and texture emerge intuitively through touch and time.Rucker’s practice extends beyond the studio into community and collaboration. She creates capsule collections for small galleries, designs bespoke dishware for private clients, and partners with local non-profits to offer ceramics as a form of art therapy for students and summer programs. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and publications that celebrate craftsmanship and the handmade. She lives in Oregon with her husband, chef and restaurateur Gabriel Rucker, and their three children.
