Ashley Ozmint is known for her oil landscape paintings that celebrate untouched land and views that shape the south. Ozmint was born in Columbia, SC and graduated from the South Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA focus in graphic design. Currently based in Black Mountain, NC, she works immersed in the mountain landscape in her home studio. Ozmint takes notes from the Impressionist and Tonalist movements, painting emotional reactions from the landscape rather than realistic renderings.
