Jorge Rojas is a self-taught artist with a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Jesuit University of Guadalajara, whose work bridges emotion, memory, and heritage through symbolic colour and form. Rooted in his Mexican Identity, he transforms personal experiences into universal reflections on love, loss, and renewal. His palette, rich in ochres and reds, evokes the warmth of the earth, while motifs like the sun, moon heart, and fish embody resilience and connection to the sea. Guided by instinct rather than formal constraint, Rojas paints to express what cannot be spoken. Influenced by Tamayo, Chagall, and Modigliani, his works carry surrealist undertones infused with human depth. Through abstraction and emotion, Rojas invites viewers into a dialogue of shared humanity, where art becomes both confession and connection, and where simplicity reveals profound beauty. He hopes to leave a mark on those who see his work, saying, "I want those who see my work to recognise themselves in it, to feel something, even for a moment."
