Scott Filipiak is an American artist whose retro-nostalgic pop art paintings evoke memories that keep our simpler past alive in today's hectic world.Since 2009, Scott has combined his graphic design profession with his fine art education to bring his "Retro Nostalgic" series to life in galleries and private collections across the US, Canada and Germany. In 2020, he introduced the "Crushed Series" as he sought new ways to paint everyday objects from his home. Scott makes the molded frames himself, which, combined with the realistic, almost photorealistic brushwork, create instantly recognizable objects that literally jump off the wall. The "Crushed Series" integrates technology through hidden NFC chips that result in entertaining, often tongue-in-cheek videos and websites. Scott lives in Ohio, USA with his wife, but travels often as their three adult children now live all over the world.
