Born in Sosúa, Dominican Republic, in 1972, Adolfo Faringthon studied at the School of Fine Arts in Santiago. His career spans design, fine art, and large-scale creative collaborations, including exclusive projects for EMI Resorts and the art direction for musician Chichi Peralta’s acclaimed album De Vuelta al Barrio. Faringthon’s work blends instrumental motifs, signature interpretations of Victorian windows, and recurring Taíno imagery—most notably featured in his celebrated set designs for the Sabor Jazz Festival. Through ambitious exhibitions and richly layered mixed-media compositions, he combines familiar elements of Dominican cultural heritage with inventive textures and sculptural forms. His art both honors and redefines a distinctly Dominican aesthetic, merging national identity with a contemporary, cosmopolitan vision.
