Wilbert Philantrope was a Haitian painter active in the 1960s whose work captures the spiritual and emotional depth of Haitian modern art. His paintings, often signed “W. Philantrope, Haiti 1969,” combine geometric structure with expressive color to portray themes of faith, community, and reflection. Though little is known about his life, his art embodies the harmony and symbolism that define mid-century Haitian creativity.
