Abstract painterSeth Allen’s work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Portland, Salem, and Palm Desert. Each painting begins with a feeling — an abstract tone or energy — that he shapes through line and color. Layers of paint are built up and then sanded back, revealing unexpected rhythms and hidden hues beneath the surface. The process is as much about uncovering as it is about creating.Before painting, Allen studied theatre in Los Angeles and New York City and spent over two decades performing on stage, in television, film, radio, and voice-over. He co-founded The Verona Studio, a blackbox theatre in Salem, Oregon, known for its dynamic and challenging productions. He is represented in the Pacific Northwest by The Option Agency.Allen describes a painting as complete “when it communicates what I was feeling — when it clicks.” He hopes that same sense of recognition and satisfaction translates to the viewer: where a crisp line and a swirl of color come together to stir emotion or spark a story of their own.
